１．Idea of Kai Seitai Jutsu

　Kai Seitai Jutsu is a manipulative treatment which is based on the body consciousness of the martial arts. It was organized by Takatsugu Nakayama Shihan who has incorporated the knowledge of Eastern, Western and modern medicine into an all-inclusive system of treatment. The important aspects of this method include adjusting the body meridians and anatomical structures so that the treatment is conducted to meet the needs of each individual patient.

Moreover, Nakayama Shihan places particular importance on the patients having a feeling of “pleasure”. The idea is that most people receive treatment to make the unpleasant condition better, and therefore, the practitioner has to conduct the treatment so that the patients can feel pleasure. Because of this, the way of using one’s hands is different from most peoples’ idea of how the hands are used in the martial arts. People often feel sleepy over the course of the treatment and it is at this point where the unpleasant condition can be changed. 　

２．Features of the technique

　An important feature of this technique is to avoid causing pain to the person receiving the treatment. Creating a feeling of “pleasure” is the most important point.
　It’s not, however, just stroking and rubbing, it is based on body consciousness and a method of manipulation called the “conscious assimilation” which is achieved with soft hands and fingers becoming one with the patient’s body. In order to achieve this, certain aspects of the martial arts, such as the body’s central axis and breathing, are necessary. Nakayama Shihan named this the “invisible technique”.

　Basically, after selecting the appropriate treatment from the 14 meridians the practitioner then straightens the bone structures and stimulates the patient’s natural healing ability.
　Moreover, gathering information on the patient’s condition before and after the treatment is also very important. This functions for two reasons, to develop a treatment plan that is specifically designed for the patient’s needs and as a counseling session to help the patients deal with the stress that may have been brought on by their condition.

　

３．Social Credibility

　It is extremely important to objectively show how effective this technique is.

　In order to do that the following steps were taken:

　　It is difficult to prove the value of intangible things such as manipulative treatments.
　 However, a patent legally protects intellectual property and is proof that the government recognizes it as a legitimate practice.

　In order to get one a series of difficult tests must be taken. Kai Seitai Jutsu successfully passed them all and a patent was then issued.

１．Professionalism = Technical Ability + Management Power

　Professionalism in terms of Kai Seitai Jutsu doesn’t only apply to the practitioners’ technical skill. It also includes the ability to get to a number of places to demonstrate one’s technique. That is meaning of “management power” that is written in the title of this section. By developing all three of these skills the practitioners can establish their position as professionals and be active in the field.

２．Management and Goals

　It is possible for one person to manage their own clinic. Even though the management style and sales goals may differ from person to person it is possible for some graduates to earn more than 1,000,000 yen per month especially in areas with a high population density. However, in order to achieve such a result it is important to set sales goals.。

　The Kai Seitai Jutsu research institute also gives advice on how to train new staff and how to open branch clinics.

３．Results

　We are constantly working towards improving the health of our patients and in further developing our own skill. Pursuing results of this nature is both the philosophy of Kai Seitai Jutsu and the martial arts.
