It seems that there are many people who consider martial art only the technique of fighting. But in order to have become full proficiency by the old martial art, not only the technique of the martial art as Sappo but kappo which is the technique for revitalizing the body was indispensable. Original martial art mastered the two things, and was set to Shihan at last. That is, since "Katsu" and "Satsu" are operations on mind and body, it is insufficient only "Satsu" for understanding martial art.
There is "Yin and Yang theory" which is oriental thoughts in the foundation. After accepting contrastive two's existence, it will be the way of thinking of uniting them and searching for the truth.
By sport-izing a martial art, a game comes to be thought as important, therefore original merit is lost. We can understand the existence of "Satsu" and "Katsu" which is the original contents, and we can catch the essence by considering them as the back and front of things on it. It is useless only in mere technical How-to there. After being based on that, understanding as a thing of the dimension beyond inconsistency called simultaneous existence of both extremities becomes the opportunity to obtain the essence of martial art.
Occasionally people's body is strong and, occasionally weak. By getting to know the structure of a human body, we can understand the contents more vividly.
The skill of martial art aims for an opponent's weak point. It is not meaningful even if it aims in a place strong from the first and the timing of a strong state. However, by attacking a weak place or making a weak situation, even if it is not an extraordinarily strong shock, it becomes effective skill.
A Detailed adherence is in KATA and fundamental skill. The adherence leads to a high-quality upgrade only by changing the method of operating one's body. Moreover, I can understand attacking an opponent's weak portion by getting to know the meaning of the skill of a martial art. That is, there is discovery which is not obtained only by understanding "skill is a mere action."
In that case, it is a premise to understand the structure of the body. Not only the visible bodies, such as physique and muscles, but the knowledge about the function of the Eastern medicine body is needed for the way of thinking. Getting to know the body means acquiring the knowledge of Western medicine and Eastern medicine. It is important for learning of true martial art to make the quality of the skill of martial art raise on the basis of the medicine of east and west.
There is a way of thinking of a "vital part" in a martial art, and the concrete attack method also exists. The vital part is the same as the Acupuncture point of Eastern medicine. Therefore, entwining the knowledge of a Meridians or an Acupuncture point with the skill of martial art, and getting to know it leads to enhancement of skill.
By the way, there is an image of attacking by TSUKI or KERI to a vital part. But in addition, It may be utilized as a place which should be pressed with armbarring techniques. However, although an Acupuncture point is utilized for both "KATSU" and "SATSU", sufficient effect is not acquired only by pushing the place simply. Not only strength but an angle is important, and this portion is employed profitably also in the skill of martial art.
That is, it is important for the vital part which we use with TSUKI (or KERI) or armbarring techniques to utilize, after understanding an angle suitable for an Acupuncture point. Getting to know the body and getting to know the territory of "KATSU" changes the quality of the skill of martial art.
Although armbarring techniques are typical skills of jujutsu, the skill is also in karate-do. Although it explained that an Acupuncture point was utilized also with armbarring techniques, it will become difficult to show an effect, if there is no understanding of the joint itself.
KAI-SEITAI-JUTSU in the program which we present has adjustment of physique. This becomes possible about the adjustment of physique by grasping it not only by knowledge but by the sensitivity of a hand. The same may be said of the case of the skill of martial art. Even if it puts power in vain in order to lock up a joint, if structure of the body is not known by knowledge and sensitivity, It will be removed simply.
Of course, in order to lock up a joint, a certain amount of power is required. But the quality of the skill of martial art improves greatly by having the above-mentioned element.
In exercise of armbarring techniques, if direction of power and the place to hold is changed, an effect may rise, so that you are surprised. That is because the martial artist has full knowledge of a weak direction and a strong direction on body structure. Naturally, physique adjustment of KAI-SEITAI-JUTSU is also performed with the same consciousness. That is, SEITAI-JUTSU returns to normal the physique which was out of order, and the skill (armbarring techniques) of martial art destroys the correct physique.
In that case, it is required to get to know the field and axis of a joint. In addition, it is important whether a hand is felt in the limit of the movable range of a joint. The difference between "KATSU" and "SATSU" is only consciousness.
It is important a first-class martial artist does have rich sensitivity. Simultaneously, it was an element required also for an excellent healer.
When moving not only exercise of a martial art but the body, a trouble may occur to some extent. In exercise of a martial art, because the skill for destroying the body is studied, a little inattention may lead to generating of a big problem. Martial artist always have to bear this in mind.
When training with such consciousness, a big trouble does not occur easily. But we cannot declare that there is nothing by any means. As mentioned above, the possibility of problem generating is not only exercise of a martial art. But in the case of a martial art, since it must be a premise to know human body, the knowledge and technique which can respond to a certain amount of trouble are required.
This is a section of "KATSU" of KASSATSU-JIZAI. If you will aspire after a martial art seriously, don't forget the above-mentioned thing absolutely.
Of course, because there is law in each country, you cannot perform illegal medical-treatment conduct. However, if it is within the limits allowed, performing all possible things can call a true martial artist.
In that case, especially the thing that must be studied is the capability to grasp the situation of a trouble. Corresponding contents begin from understanding the situation correctly. For that purpose, you have to learn the capability of diagnosis in SEITAI-JYTSU.
For example, as long as there is doubt of fracture to the sprained finger often seen, don't treat. But it is possible to recover the badness of a movement of after that at SEITAI-JYTAU. Although this is an example, we have to judge the possibility of fracture at first in this case. As one of the KAPPO(s), you will learn from such a stage little by little.
The relation between poison and medicine agrees with the structure of KASSATSU-JIZAI as they are. The same substance becomes medicine or poison depending on usage, and the stimulus which I add to human body is also the same. It becomes healing at a certain time, and destroy human body as skill of martial art at a certain time.
What is the difference? It is the intention of carrying out what, and concrete action and conduct of following it.
For example, if a certain substance is used as a medicine, It will control the quantity. According to the circumstances, we combine in consideration of the character of the substance which we use together. And when using as poison, we exceed the maximum permissible dose and medicate an opponent.
We transpose this to the relation of SATSU or KATSU. Then, although power and the number of times are controlled as for KATSU, SATSU is understood not to have restriction in power.
KASSASU-JIZAI will become the methodology which completely achieves reverse results by the difference in approach on a human body, if it restricts to a technical section. And simultaneously, it is also philosophy of the Yin and Yang theory derived from mixing an opposite existence.
The way of thinking mentioned above and the system which concrete technique united are in KASSATSU-JIZAI. And this is contents to study as one of the culture (martial art) of peculiar Japan.
Although this is connecting to technique, "DATSURYOKU" is needed for practice of "KATSU" and "SATSU" in each case.
It may be easy to understand if the meaning of the word "DATSURYOKU" is the thing of putting in power or extracting power. There are many books on the theme of a martial art theory these days. Therefore, probably, there are many people who understand, because there is a book which has described "DATSURYOKU."
When moving the body as skill of martial art, power actually increases by extracting rather than by putting. This thinks that it will feel from experience if it is a person experienced in a martial art.
And this consciousness is required also for healing（a part of KAPPO）. An opponent's body will also become hard if it has straining in the hand at the time of treatment. As a result, the stimulus which you add to the body does not permeate deeply. Depending on the case, It may become still more painful from reaction by stimulus. As a result, such a thing will leave excessive displeasure.
It check one here. A hand gentle to required for healing is not touching lightly. In order to make a stimulus permeate an inside firmly, it have to apply the pressure exactly. In that case, it have to select power so that an opponent may not do unnecessary strain. This is "the skill which is not visible" for achieving an effect.
This is explained in the concept of "consciousness of assimilation." As for "consciousness of assimilation", this is explained in the Nakayama shihan's writings. This consciousness is required for "KATSU" and "SATSU", and aims at that acquisition also on KASSATSU-JIZAI-JUKU. By the way, the Nakayama instructor is a supreme advisor of KASSATSU-JIZAI-JUKU.
When the skill of martial art understood, most did not consider the mechanism of the body deeply. First, you enter from KATA and think that the case which you consider that the quality of the skill of martial art improved by the upgrade by muscular power and speedup from there was most.
However, if you think that you will understand the skill of martial art truly, you have to know the details of a human body. If it is neglected, the movement will be a martial art of sport feeling, or will be mere gymnastics.
The levels of the skill of martial art differ greatly by whether it is understanding how the technique acting on a human body. The part which you are actually attacking is useless in order to only take the point. The place to attack must be existence with a concrete effect. If a game takes the lead, the skill of martial art will fall to the level of only the mere shape. If you would like to know the original meaning of the skill of martial art, it is required to get to know a human body as the foundation. And it is not an overstatement, although it will not be accomplished if there is no it.
Therefore, don't utilize the skill of real martial art as a tool of a bad thing. This point is a reason for emphasizing the position as culture. We think that we have to maintain this point firmly to advocate KASSATSU-JIZAI.
The word "yin and yang theory" appeared in up to now explanation again and again. This theory is one of the fundamental thought of oriental philosophy. In this theory, it is thought that the completely reverse character of "yin" and "yang" exists. And in the theory, all the trend of the world consider because "yin" and "yang" have influenced mutually.
In oriental philosophy, It think that "yin" and "yang" are produced by the truth of "TAIKYOKU", and are unified by "TAIKYOKU" again. Although the world where a martial art is realistic is a premise, philosophy exists.
Because karate-do is Eastern culture, the foundation of the way of thinking becomes oriental philosophy. If "KATSU and SATSU" is considered with the consciousness, It have the structure which can be said to be the "yin and yang theory" itself.
The opposite poles "KATSU" and "SATSU" reside in martial art. And when the two unite, there is an idea that true martial art is obtained for the first time. This way of thinking is just the yin and yang theory itself. In oriental philosophy, It think that fusion of an opposite thing called TAIKYOKU sublimates to the following dimension. This way of thinking is materialized with the concept of KASSATSU-JIZAI in the field of the martial art.
This structure agree with the structure of dialectic. If there is a person who has sense of incongruity to oriental thoughts, you may understand it as the dialectical structure as used in the field of philosophy. The structure of dialectic shows the new dimension which arises through the interaction of an opposite thing.
In the case of a martial art, SATSU is a front concept and the opposite concept is KATSU. And the two are united and the existence sublimated more to the height calls it true martial art.
Understanding this structure will raise not only the improvement in a martial art but the recognition as culture. When it has this recognition, the concrete cultural territory about martial art can be seen.
History, sociology, law, pedagogy, medicine, physiology, physics, philosophy, etc. are in it. And when considering exercise hall management, business administration also enters.
When you only consider that a martial art moves the body, you may feel it difficult. But if you think that you will obtain a true understanding, it adjoin martial art and it is necessary to prove existence of martial art from an objective position. That is, we cannot aim at improvement without the territory which gives the hint of progress.
There is the meaning of the culture nature of the martial art which Nakayama Shihan asserts. And KASSATSUJIZAI-JUKU sets forth this idea clearly and strives for that realization.
About an individual region, you learn in a lecture or practical technique. If the consciousness of KASSATSUJIZAI is regarded as one learning and culture, what was not visible until now can come to be seen.
Until now, some persons were disseminating martial art as a cultural region. This viewpoint is a very important thing. Therefore, more persons have to learn and we have to spread as Japanese culture.
About this activity, disseminating from Japan is important. In order to let you understand as true martial art, mere corporal technique is insufficient.
In Chito-Ryu-JIKIHIN-JUKU which is a part of KASSATAUJIZAI-JUKU, the foreigners of over 20 nations visited to exercise until now. They got interested in the structure of the body related to martial art, etc. very much at that time. Although it once went back, there is a case which re-visited Japan in order to train.
When Nakayama Shihan performed an open seminar overseas, there was interesting episode. The participant's interest was not only the technique of the strange school. It is said that many people got interested about the things and culture of the body related to martial art.
In the section of a game, there is already a school with a superior overseas player. It study a rule more than Japan and there is a device for winning in a game. Therefore, we are not going to be satisfied only with the head family which conveyed martial art. Rather, we think that we have to observe the field which we have not conveyed until now. And we understand that it is required to make this idea into the subject of the spread of future.
Now, the learning of martial art and karate-do must not stop only at the physical thing. It is in the situation where we have to expand the range which we should study also to the culture which surrounds martial art.
The way of thinking of a title becomes an example of the philosophical sphere of martial art. And this way of thinking overlaps with the way of thinking of KASSATSU-JIZAI. If it is made to further develop from there, this way of thinking is applicable to a way of life.
KASSATSU-JIZAI is fusion of an opposite phenomenon. And the situation of a high dimension is acquired from there.
Please transpose this to life. Then, it becomes possible to see various phenomena from many sides. From this thought, it is expected that the way of thinking different from the former will come out.
Life is stuck in many cases. When such, don't see only from the front. A way out may be seen if it watches from the contrary. The way of thinking becomes reverse by watching from a contrary, and the method of solution increases.
However, it is important to master one thing exactly first as the premise. There is a word of "leading to all if one thing is mastered" in martial art. In short, it is important to have one thing which is to fundamental. And, when considering things based on it, because the axis is solid , even when it sees from opposite, it do not collapse.
In KASSATSU-JIZAI-JUKU, the axis is a martial art. And an adjoining learning region gives required knowledge and hint. The contents which you study by the lecture of KASSATSU-JIZAI-JUKU are related to a martial art. But please extend this structure to life. Then, the structure shows what learning required for life is. And from there, you can tie to an understanding how you should employ the knowledge. Please understand that the thought of KASSATSU-JIZAI showed the structure taking the case of the martial art. If it has such a way of thinking, you are widely applicable also except a martial art.
"KATSU" and "SATSU" are mutually opposing concepts. The thought of KASSATSU-JIZAI tends to make an opposite thing reside simultaneously, and tends to make it sublimate it to the following dimension. Therefore, we need the system for leading to the direction.
In that case, you will become intelligible if this confrontation is compared to a car. "KATSU" serves as an accelerator and "SATSU" is equivalent to the brake which restricts movement. In order to move a car, you have to control these two well. If it is made exactly, I will induce the value as a useful existence to livelihood. But a car will become a weapon if it makes a mistake in control. Therefore, to make it not become so in the case of operation is demanded, and careful attention is paid.
We cannot use a car only by one side of an accelerator and a brake. A car is having the two simultaneously and becomes a useful tool for the first time. KASSATSU-JIZAI is also the same and existence with a simple substance is not enough as it.
Differing from a car is that the insufficiency is not clear. In short, in "KASSATSU", it is that a simple substance also has appropriate raison d'etre. Concretely, "SATSU" is utilized for the means of a battle as skill of martial art, and, "KATSU" is utilized for the means of a condition uptrend as healing.
However, we can know that each will influence each other by acquiring the concept of KASSATSU-JIZAI. And it serves as an opportunity which goes up from there to the concept of the higher rank.
In the case of a martial art, in an extreme case, we have to consider the level in connection with life and death. In such a sense, this concept serves as a base which we consider to an ultimate stage.
Because human beings have a life, we certainly reach death.
The concept of KASSATSU-JIZAI is included till this region. Therefore, this concept becomes a question in its way of life, and it is useful in order to find its way of life.
When you think that you will employ the way of thinking of KASSATSU while living, if it thinks on the basis of the mind, you can utilize effectively that thinking.
When human beings are going to challenge something, in the mind, the mind which thinks will advance positively and the mind to which self tends to apply brakes collide. In this case, the latter will be "the mind of minus" if the former is called "the mind of plus."
It cannot expect progress, if "the mind of minus" is ruling over even if it sees in the unit not only of an individual but society. All the ringleaders of depression or social unrest "the mind of plus." And if it does not progress in the direction which it revitalizes, life and society just stagnate increasingly.
When the concept of "KASAATSU" is carried in here, existence of "the mind which should be killed", and "the mind which should be harnessed" is in sight clearly. Although we think there that explanation is unnecessary, if we dare to say, the former will be "the mind of minus", and the latter is "the mind of plus." The mind which progresses positively is always required. And nothing is produced by the consciousness of retreat. If you would like to make own life better, it is important to focus on how to harness "the mind of plus" and to make a living according to the consciousness.
Life is finite. There is surely the end. It consider the philosophy of a martial art from this viewpoint. And human beings have to understand own fate exactly. We have to consider how to fulfill life in the better shape on it. The consciousness of "KASSATSU" required for martial art also influences the problem of such minds.
